600 Grant

About This Project

While at Offwhite Design, the owners of Pittsburgh’s US Steel Building came to us to rebrand the building while they were in the process of renovating the lobby and transforming the building into a modern work of art while maintaining the classic influences of the historic property. Originally completed in 1970, 600 Grant is the largest skyscraper in Pittsburgh as well as the 4th highest building in Pennsylvania. I began working on the project by studying the building’s unique geometry and influences while taking influential cues from the updated lobby renderings. In order to create a uniquely fitting logotype, I custom made 3 different typefaces to correspond to the influences taken from the building’s architecture and geometry and finally arrived at a unique and modern logotype.
